My family has owned a condo unit that ajoins this property. Crown Paradise is the current owner, acquiring the property 3 mos prior.
There are three mediocre restarants on the property. Two of the three are only open for dinner. The one night we ate at the onsite Japanese place, the service was pathetic, the quality of food was less than impressive.
The beach bar is a non-cash bar. This means that condo owners are required to leave a credit card open at the front desk. In the room the phones fail to notify that even calling card initiated calls result in a $5 charge. We weren't made aware of the practice until we'd run up $60 in these secret charges--it was an on-site operator who rang back after the 12th call back to the States that we were informed of this. In speaking with the manager, it was of great debate that it was appropriate to charge for unpublished charges. After days of "his looking into this", it was the morning of check out that after another confrontation that resulted in charges being wiped off the account.
Finally another ridiculous develpment was when we sought a taxi, on more than one occasion we were advised to walk to a gas station situated on the main road. I NEVER ran into this. Makes one wonder what makes taxis so scarce...Nonetheless, it was a very pathetic solution.
Mind you, we are 19 year property owners there. The prior management was NEVER this problematic. Even the staff seemed incredibly uhapppy. I will never recommend this resort based on their lack of customer service and disinterest in any accomodation. The only thing worthy of praise was the cleanliness.
